Age Group:  Boroughmuir youth section continues to go from strength to strength and this year has an amazing 13 players across the Under 16, 17 & 18 Edinburgh age group squads.

With five each in the Under 16 and Under 18 squads and three in the Under 17 squad the future of the club looks to be in safe hands.

U18 Update: The U18s recorded their second victory in the group stage of the
East of Scotland Cup on Saturday when they defeated Langholm  29 - 7.
'Muir topped the group of three teams with that away win and now wait to see who they will play in the next phase of the competition. Report

'Muir Lose in the Cup

Boroughmuir crashed out of the Scottish Hydro Premier Cup at Cartha Queens Park on Tuesday evening.

Trailing 19 - 0 at half time the Edinburgh side fought back in the second half but couldn't overcome the deficit and went down 25 - 17.

This is the second time Cartha have pulled of a giant killing act against 'Muir having won in the Cup at Meggetland in 2006.

 

Twos Narrowly Defeated

In a close fought match the Boroughmuir 2nd XV were beaten 12 - 10 by Stewarts Melville at Inverleith on Saturday.

 

Bears Suffer First Defeat

The Boroughmuir Bears suffered their first defeat of the season against Stewarts Melville 3rd XV at Meggetland on Saturday.

Despite a strong squd being available for the Bears, with Chris Evans starting at 10, the home side were unable to overcome their North Edinburgh visitors. Murrayfield Wanderers visit next week.  Report   Photos
